Praise the peach! Honeypie is holding a Peach Release Party this Saturday, June 18, at its sister Bay View restaurant Palomino (2492 S. Superior St.). Two things are happening here: Tree Ripe Citrus is selling peaches and pecans (from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. or until it sells out). And Honeypie’s baking crew will have pies and other sweets for sale as well (from 9 a.m.-noon). Saturday is also the season opener of South Shore Farmers Market (2900 S. Shore Dr.). Vendors offer produce and flowers; meats, cheeses, and eggs; oats, grains, coffee and prepared foods like crepes, spring rolls and baked goods. Hours are 8 a.m.-noon.
