Hinterland Gastropub (222 E. Erie St.) is greeting spring with a few changes. Starting April 2, the Third Ward restaurant will be open for Saturday lunch (11 a.m.-3 p.m.). The menu will include the weeknight specials of brisket pho ($5), tacos ($3 each), and fried half-chicken with B&B pickles and scratch biscuit ($13). Other items: vegetable tartine ($13); grilled steak Caesar ($16); and BBQ ribs ($12), and burger ($15), each served with a choice of sides. A limited bar menu (burger, oysters, cheese and charcuterie) will be available from 3-5 p.m. on Saturdays. Happy hour drink specials, too, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Hinterland will also tap its cherry wheat beer on April 2.
These are some of the first changes/additions instituted by new chef/GM Matt Kerley (most recently of University Club of Milwaukee).
