Raising a glass of beer with family and friends at an outdoor beer garden is a treasured local tradition.
With spring’s arrival, Milwaukee County Parks has unveiled its 2025 Traveling Beer Garden schedule.
The Traveling Beer Garden, which is in its 12th year, tours various Milwaukee County parks from May through September, transforming each location into a vibrant outdoor gathering spot for about two weeks at a time. It features restored fire trucks converted into mobile beer trucks that serve up craft beers, gourmet sodas and more.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
This year, the tour includes stops at several parks across the county, including the newly added Wilson Park picnic area No. 1 and the return of the popular Lake Park stop. As always, the Traveling Beer Garden will also offer Milwaukee favorites such as brats, sausage, hotdogs and soft pretzels from the Milwaukee Pretzel Co.
“The Traveling Beer Garden has become a cherished summer tradition here in Milwaukee County,” Parks Director Guy Smith said in a press release. “We’re thrilled to add Wilson Park to our lineup and welcome back Lake Park for another season of fun, community and relaxation. This initiative not only celebrates our local heritage but also brings tangible benefits to our parks system through the revenue generated.”
This year’s Traveling Beer Garden schedule is as follows:
- Wilson Park (May 14-18)
- Greenfield Park (May 21-June 8)
- Cooper Park (June 11-22)
- Grant Park (June 25-July 6)
- McCarty Park (July 9-20)
- Lake Park (July 23-Aug. 3)
- Doctor’s Park (Aug. 6-17)
- Sheridan Park (Aug. 20-Sept. 1)
At each stop, an ever-rotating selection of craft beer produced by Glendale-based Sprecher Brewing Co. will be on tap. Although Sprecher remains the featured beverage at the Traveling Beer Garden, options from other local breweries will be offered. In addition, cider, gluten-free options and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
“I’m excited for another summer of Milwaukee County’s beer gardens bringing our neighbors together and activating our parks,” Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley said in the release.
The 2025 Traveling Beer Garden will kick off on May 14 and will run through Sept. 1.
“The Traveling Beer Garden is not just about enjoying great beer and food, it’s a celebration of community and shared experiences,” Sprecher CEO Sharad Chadha said in a statement. “As a cornerstone of Milwaukee, Sprecher is committed to enriching our community. Each year, the garden tours through Milwaukee County Parks, offering a unique way to experience our finest brews in beautiful settings.”
All standard pour pricing comes with a commemorative glass to take home. Visitors who bring their own Parks Beer Garden-branded (or other) pint glass can take advantage of the refill price.
