If you’ve been wondering what will be become of the old Prodigal Gastropub (240 E. Pittsburgh), wonder no more. Salotto Zarletti executive chef Andrew Miller is amicably splitting from his Mequon restaurant post to open his own place, in the vacated Fifth Ward digs. Miller’s new venture, Merriment Social, will open sometime this summer, says the chef-cum-restaurateur. Of the menu, he says it will be seasonal, contemporary and eclectic “with many items delivered via dim sum-style service.” The space (the one-time Moct) will be open for dinner six nights a week and for Sat-Sun brunch. The space will undergo a remodel. To what extent, I don’t know. Details to come.
