Explore Worldwide Traditions at Holiday Folk Fair International

It returns to the Wisconsin State Fair Park Expo Center from Nov. 22-24.

For many, exploring worldwide traditions at the Holiday Folk Fair International is a tradition in itself. The multicultural extravaganza at the Wisconsin State Fair Park Expo Center is going 81 years strong, and it’s packed with food, art, music, apparel and performances from groups like Dance Academy of Mexico, pictured here.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

This year’s theme is traditional art, with cultural groups displaying creative works that hold special meaning. Paul Trebian, the president and CEO of the International Institute of Wisconsin, which produces the fair, says he enjoys finding the many ways similar values are expressed between cultures.

“There’s plenty of strife out there, but if we take a look at our differences and celebrate them instead, it gives us a respite from all those pressures.” The Holiday Folk Fair runs Nov. 22-24.
