The upcoming Evening of Flavors fundraiser on Monday, Oct. 3 at Easy Tyger (1230 E. Brady St.) is aptly titled. A fundraiser for Hunger Task Force, it is indeed an evening of mutil-faceted flavors. Local restaurants Buckley’s, Carnevor, Hinterland, Karl Ratzsch, Maxie’s and Wolf Peach are all preparing a dish. Some highlights:
Karl Ratzsch: Bavarian pretzel soup and herbed lard with pork cracklings.
Wolf Peach: heirloom carrot, corn puree, mizuna, caramelized yogurt and vandouvan-spiced cashews.
Easy Tyger: roasted mushroom tostada with ancho cocoa sauce.
Buckley’s: Vietnamese chicken wings with nuac cham (a Vietnamese dipping sauce).
Maxie’s: Fix Family Farm lamb grillades with pork rinds and Hook’s white cheddar grits.
