Crazy Water’s Mexico City Dinner on Monday, April 18

The Walker’s Point restaurant’s special dinner combines seven courses with regional spirits.

 

 

Cool dining event alert: Walker’s Point occupant Crazy Water (839 S. Second St.) is holding its Mexico City Dinner on Monday, April 18. The seven-course meal paired with spirits starts with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Courses featured include jalapenos stuffed with duck confit, Oaxaca cheese, honey pasillo broth and lime crema; raw oysters with pico de gallo and salsa roja and a shot of tequila; charred octopus salad with English cucumbers, red peppers, crème fraiche and peach mostarda; and cochinita pibil (slow-roasted pork shoulder wrapped in banana leaf with citrus  guajillo pepper sauce, pickled red onions and guacamole). Drinks include various tequilas, an ancho chili liqueur and Mexican cocktails. Cost: $65. The dinner is by reservation only. Call 414-645-2606 to book a spot.

Crazy Water is also running new weeknight specials. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, it’s $10 off every bottle of wine. On Wednesday: a pupu platter of five hot and cold items ($25).
