On December 15, from noon to 1:30 p.m., we’re paying tribute to Milwaukee Magazine’s former publisher, Betty Quadracci, who founded Quad with her husband Harry and left an inspiring legacy in her wake.
The Betty Awards, a virtual event (tickets $10; available here), honors seven local women, each of whom is a vibrant representative of Betty’s formidable spirit.
The afternoon will include a keynote address by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Anna Quindlen, who will talk about the strides that women have made towards equality, and what remains to be done. This speaker is presented by Baird, your trusted financial partner for the last 100 years.
We’ll also hear from Joel Quadracci, Chief Executive Officer of Quad, our Presenting Sponsor, who will offer remarks and reminiscences about Betty, his mother.
These awards are also made possible by our sponsors Foley & Lardner, Colliers International and the Wisconsin Preservation Fund.
This year’s honorees are as follows:
- Creative Genius: Ferne Caulker
- Standout Sister: Gerry Howze
- Tenacious B: Caitlin Cullen
- Bridge Builder: Amy Lindner
- Risk Taker: Juli Kaufmann
- Groundbreaker: Melinda Wilke

We hope you’ll join us for what is certain to be an inspiring, uplifting event. Tickets ($10) and more information are available here
