Carnevor, BelAir Cantina and Calderone Club Join Together for Charity Initiative

For the “Three Days of Christmas” event (Dec. 21-23), the local restaurants serve meals at three homeless shelters and transitional living centers.

Three Milwaukee restaurants are part of the holiday charity initiative “3 Days of Christmas,” which kicked off today (and runs through Dec. 23). Carnevor, Calderone Club and BelAir Cantina are serving meals at three homeless shelters and transitional housing facilities. Today Carnevor served filets, truffled mashed potatoes and holiday dessert at Sojourner Truth House (5-7 p.m.). On Thursday, Dec. 22, the residents of Hope House’s St. Catherine’s Residence are set to dine on a lunch of salad, pasta, meatballs and grilled sausage (11 a.m.-1 p.m.). And on Friday, BelAir Cantina is bringing a nacho and taco bar to Pathfinders (11 a.m.-1 p.m.).

Ann Christenson has covered dining for Milwaukee Magazine since 1997. She was raised on a diet of casseroles that started with a pound of ground beef and a can of Campbell's soup. Feel free to share any casserole recipes with her.
