This Bites: Pete’s Pops and MKE-Style Pizza

On our not-spooky Friday the 13th podcast, Tarik Moody and I also talk about escargot at Bastille Days and a food truck festivus in Riverwest,

This Bites visits some very germane topics this week on 88Nine Radio Milwaukee. Don’t get me wrong; our topics are always germane to life in Milwaukee. But when it’s 86 degrees and humid, a Pete’s Pop is what will take the scorching edge off. And it’s our first order of business on this segment. Part of accountant/entrepreneur Pete Cooney’s mission is to built his business into a positive force in the city. That message will be even clearer when Cooney opens his Pete’s location this summer on 38th and Vliet.  Hear more about that.

Next on our agenda is Milwaukee-style pizza. It is most definitely a “thing.” We talk about what attributes this style of pizza has and where you can get it. The Latin restaurant Antigua is moving from its current spot to 62nd and National later this summer. Find out more about that transition.

Tarik Moody and I finish with a few events, including Bastille Days, offering French-inspired fare, music and more this weekend in the Cathedral Square Park area.
