Bite of Bollywood

IndiaFest comes to Milwaukee’s Humboldt Park on Saturday, August 15.

Move over kielbasa and wiener schnitzel, a whole lotta samosas are coming to town. Now in its third year, IndiaFest Milwaukee takes over Humboldt Park with a day of festivities that blend the old and new, and savory and sweet. On stage, there will be Indian classical dance performances, as well as Bollywood-style musical reviews and the festival’s own version of “American Idol” – featuring aspiring Arijit Singhs and Shreya Ghoshalas – in five different age categories. And, of course, there will be great food – from chana masala to palak paneer – from many of the area’s best restaurants and grocers.
