16 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: June 12-16

It’s a big week for brewery anniversary celebrations with 3 Sheeps, Eagle Park, Central Waters and Component leading the way.

Wednesday, June 12

Sprecher Brewing’s Traveling Beer Garden makes a stop at Cooper Park (8701 W. Chambers St.) until June 23. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

1840 Brewing Co. is releasing a pair of beers this week. Helles will be available at both taprooms (342 E. Ward St. and 401 N. Main St., West Bend) on tap and to go. Giggle Water is a Berliner weisse, and part of Kegel’s Inn’s Kegel Bräu series. It’ll be available on tap at 1840 Brewing and on tap and in cans at Kegel’s Inn and the War Memorial Beer Garden on Friday. Check their site for details.

Thursday, June 13

Teachers get a free pint at Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Just show your school identification.

Friday, June 14

Raised Grain Brewing (1725 Dolphin Dr.) is hosting its annual Guitar City Days on Friday and Saturday. A portion of beer sales during the two-day event benefits the Waukesha Fire Fighters’ Charity. There will be live music and other festivities from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on both days.

Try samples from Third Space Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, June 15

3 Sheeps Brewing (1837 North Ave., Sheboygan) is celebrating 12 years in business. They’re throwing a party from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. to mark the occasion. Brewer Grant Pauly has built one of the best barrel-aging programs in the business, and 3 Sheeps is highlighting that with a pair of big releases. Once More Around the Sun, originally released two years ago, is an imperial stout that has spent two years in bourbon barrels. Southern Silk is an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels and then infused with cocoa nibs, vanilla and pecans.

Eagle Park Brewing is no slouch either when it comes to barrel aging. They’re releasing two of them at the seventh anniversary party at their Muskego tap room (15506 Commerce Center Pkwy., Muskego). They’ll have Stave: Anniversary Blend and Stave: Port Cask Finish on tap and available to go. Eagle Park is also releasing 7th Anniversary Hazy IPA and a new hard seltzer.

Central Waters Brewing (1037 E. Juneau Ave.) is throwing a block party to celebrate the release of Twenty Six, an imperial stout aged for 33 months in J. Henry & Sons bourbon barrels. The party starts at 11 a.m. and a handful of food trucks will also be there.

Component Brewing (2018 S. 1st St.) is halfway to the 3 Sheeps milestone. The brewery is throwing a sixth anniversary party from noon to 10 p.m. Component is releasing Extreme Haze the Lord, a triple hazy IPA, and a pair of barrel-aged stouts.

Make the trip to Eagle for the Midsummer Celebration happening at Old World Wisconsin (W372 S9727 Hwy 67, Eagle) from 4:30 to 9 p.m. The Scandinavian celebration includes barrel and open-fermented traditional ales from area breweries, and samples from Old World-brewed casks. The cost is $75 and includes up to 10 samples and a souvenir glass.

There’s a block party happening at Urban Harvest Brewing Co. (1024 S. 5th St.). It kicks off at 1 p.m. and features live music and the release of Bee My Neighbor, an imperial IPA made with locally sourced Moonbeam honey.

The release for Lakefront’s latest My Turn Series beer is happening at The Nomad World Pub (1401 E. Brady St.). Jake Sömmerfest Lager will start pouring at 6 p.m.

Lakefront will be offering samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from 2 to 4 p.m.

Sunday, June 16

The annual Taco Truck Day takes place at The Tap Yard – Menomonee Falls (W220 N7884 Town Line Rd.). From noon to 6 p.m. you’ll have all sorts of options to pair with your beer.

Take dad to the New Berlin Historical Society (19885 W. National Ave.) beer garden from 1 to 4 p.m. Component Brewing is pouring the beer from its beer trailer.

The Bavarian Bierhaus (700 W. Lexington Blvd.) is having a Father’s Day pig roast from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the adjacent Heidelberg Park. Dads get a free liter of beer.

June 22: The popular Lager & Friends beer fest returns to Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.). Across town, Cheers Fest Pride is happening at Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.).

June 29: Enlightened Brewing Company (2020 S. Allis St.) is throwing a day-long summer block party.

July 13: The 6th Annual Food Truck Rally is happening at Gathering Place.
