11 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: July 24-28

Milwaukee Brewfest is back for its 14th installment. You can’t beat the lakefront location at McKinley Park.

Wednesday, July 24

Sprecher Brewing’s Traveling Beer Garden takes up residency at McCarty Park (8214 W. Cleveland Ave.) until Aug. 4. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

1840 Brewing Company has two beers being released this week. West Bend Lite is a Kölsch-style ale and Crispy Wheat Persuasion is a wheat lager.

Thursday, July 25

The Tap Yard – Waukesha (1927 E. Sunset Dr.) welcomes Central Waters Brewing. They’ll be tapping six Central Waters beers, including the 25th Anniversary Imperial Stout.

Rockler Woodworking and Hardware (17300 W. Bluemond Rd.) is teaching people how to make beer flight boards. From 2 to 4 p.m. you can make your own with guidance from the experts. Tickets are $110.

It’s Yappy Hour at Foxtown Brewing Company (6411 W. Mequon Rd.) from 4 to 9 p.m. There will be treats for the dogs and $2 from every drink sold on the outdoor patio benefits a local rescue or other nonprofit.

Friday, July 26

Central Waters makes a stop at The Tap Yard – West Bend (4875 County Hwy. Z) with a lineup that includes the 25th Anniversary Pappy Van Winkle Stout and a 2023 Black Gold Imperial Stout. Two really good reasons to be there.

The Wauwatosa Historical Society hosts another Brews & Blooms beer garden over the weekend. It happens at the Kneeland-Walker House (7406 Hillcrest Dr.) from 3 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, July 27

It’s hard to believe that Milwaukee Brewfest has been at it for nearly two decades. The 14th installment happens at McKinley Park (1750 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr.) starting at 2 p.m. for VIP ticket holders. General admission entry begins at 3 p.m. Tickets are $75 for general admission and $95 for VIP.

Sunday, July 28

The Bay View Community Center benefits from a six-course beer dinner happening at the The Exchange at Zillman Park (2168 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) at 5:30 p.m. The event features delicious concoctions created by local chefs paired with beers from six Bay View breweries. Tickets are $150.

Eagle Park Brewing (815 E. Hamilton St.) hosts Puppers on the Patio, an adoption event by MADACC and Skilos Family Pet Store. There will be dogs aplenty, pet supply vendors, and all sorts of beer.

The Taste of Waukesha County is happening at The Tap Yard – Waukesha. Several food trucks from the area are descending upon the beer garden at noon.

Aug. 3: The eighth annual Wisconsin IPA Fest comes to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.).  The always entertaining Weird Fest returns to MobCraft (505 S. 5th St.).

Aug. 4: Ray’s Wine & Spirits (8930 W. North Ave.) hosts the RAY-borhood BBQ, Bourbon and Beer Bash. Ray’s knows how to throw a parking lot party.

Aug. 17: Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) is releasing three limited Belgian beers during its 7th anniversary party. Station No. 06 (6800 W. Becher St.) marks five years of business with a party that will include several rare beer taps.
