Friday, Jan. 18

The highlight of the beer week is easily the fourth anniversary party at The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.). The amazing tap list includes 2018 Goose Island Vanilla Bourbon County Stout, Toppling Goliath King Sue Imperial IPA, Revolution Brewing Café Deth Barrel-Aged Coffee Stout, and the best beer I tried in 2018, Revolution Vanilla Deth Barrel Aged Stout. This is just a small sample of the beer greatness going on. Check out the tap list and more details on the events page. Cheers to owner Nick Marking on four years of success.

Oddside Ales is coming to The Rumpus Room (1030 N. Water St.) at 4 p.m. They’re bringing a few rarities, but the big news is that with each flight you get free bacon. Yep, bacon. I recommend pairing it with Rye Hipster Brunch Stout, a tasty beer made with coffee, maple syrup and bacon.

Saturday, Jan. 19

Sample brews from Goose Island at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 20

The Sugar Maple Brewery Series highlights Third Space from 4 to 6 p.m. Try a few Third Space beers, including some barrel-aged brews, and talk to the guys behind the operation.
