Beer Events Brewing This Week: Feb. 7-10

Beer events are hibernating this week, but there are still a few worth hitting up. If you haven’t been to 1840 Brewing Company, I recommend going on Saturday to pick up a bottle or two of its latest release.

Wednesday, Feb. 7

The Milwaukee Beer Society spotlights Epic Brewing in its weekly meeting. Get to Best Place (901 W. Juneau Ave.) at 6 p.m. to sample some. Cost is $10.

Abita Brewing takes over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.). Celebrate Mardi Gras with the gang starting at 5 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 9

It’s Mardi Gras pint night at Draft & Vessel (4417 N. Oakland Ave.). Abita Brewing takes over a few of the taps from 6 to 9 p.m.

Unbridled Enthusiasm IIPA returns to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.). Get there at 2 p.m. and try some.

Toppling Goliath brings a few of its tasty brews to sample at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 6 p.m.

Try samples of Sam Adams at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 10

Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) releases its latest brew Kuraokami, a winter saison made with Sancho peppercorns, at noon. It’s a nice mix of citrus and tropical flavors with added spice and comes in at 7.5% ABV.

1840 Brewing (342 E. Ward St.) opens up for its monthly beer release from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. This time around it’s The Twenty Third IPA. Brewer Kyle Vetter is promising big lemon, tangerine and grapefruit flavors.

Sprecher hands out samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha from noon to 3 p.m.

Try samples from Stone Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 3 p.m.
