Beer Events Brewing This Week: April 24-29

The hangover after Milwaukee Beer Week doesn’t last long. This week is a busy one, highlighted by a big anniversary party for Biloba Brewing Co. on Saturday.

Tuesday, April 24

Beer Academy at Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. For $15 you can learn about the origins of different beer styles and taste a few.

Wednesday, April 25

Terrapin Beer Co. takes over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) at 5 p.m.

The Milwaukee Beer Society puts regular member Jeremy in charge of the tasting for the week. Come to Best Place (901 W. Juneau Ave.) at 6 see what beers he has in store.

Cheers to Good City Brewing (2108 N. Farwell Ave.) and NEWaukee for attempting civil discourse. Political Open Mic lets attendees share their opinions on the subject of Milwaukee’s education system. The discussion starts at 11:30 a.m.

Meraki (929 S. 2nd St.) hosts a pop-up beer pairing with 1840 Brewing Company from 5 to 9 p.m. It’s a chance to sample a few beers from one of Milwaukee’s best breweries. No reservations required.

Friday, April 27

Ballast Point hands out samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 4 to 7 p.m. Bauhaus Brew Labs will be there from 4 to 6 p.m.

Milwaukee Brewing comes to Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, April 28

Biloba Brewing Co. (2970 N. Brookfield Rd.) celebrates its fourth anniversary with special tappings and other fun stuff. Get there at 2 p.m. to raise a glass.

Bauhaus Brew Labs makes the trip from Minneapolis to Burnhearts (2599 S. Logan Ave.). They’re bringing four beers with them that Burnhearts will be pouring from 3 to 6 p.m.

Try beers from Milwaukee Brewing and MobCraft from noon to 3 p.m. at Discount Liquor Milwaukee.

Sample Point Brewery beers from noon to 3 p.m. at Discount Liquor Waukesha.

Sunday, April 29

The Brewery Series at Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) features Half Acre and Stone. For $20 you get four samples from each brewery. The tasting starts at 4 p.m.
