14 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: May 14-18

Cheers to Urban Harvest Brewing on its ninth anniversary and Havenwoods Taproom and Beer Garden on its first. Those two milestones are just part of a busy beer week in Milwaukee.

Wednesday, May 14

Sprecher Brewing’s Traveling Beer Garden opens for the season at Wilson Park (1601 W. Howard Ave.) where it will be until Sunday. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

Make a cocktail herb garden at The Tap Yard – Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.). The creating starts at 6:30 p.m. and the class includes a beverage.

Thursday, May 15

Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) is handing out samples from Central Waters Brewing from 3 to 5 p.m.

Friday, May 16

The Depot Beer Garden at Old Falls Village Historical Park (N96 W15791 County Line Rd.) opens for the season on Friday and Saturday. Hours are 4 to 9:30 p.m. on both nights.

Try samples from Central Waters Brewing from 4 to 6 p.m. at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.).

Saturday, May 17

Urban Harvest Brewing Company (1024 S. 5th St.) celebrates its ninth anniversary with a block party from 1 to 8 p.m.

Frothy Forage, a beer, wine and cider tasting event at Riveredge Nature Center (4458 County Hwy. Y, Saukville) takes place from noon to 4 p.m.

Havenwoods Taproom and Beer Garden (5840 N. 60th St.) is throwing a first anniversary party and pouring some pretty special beers from the likes of Trillium Brewing Company, Working Draft Beer Company, Cantillon, and more.

Amorphic Beer is pouring at its first pop-up beer garden of the summer at Mukwonago Field Park (993 N. Rochester St.) from 2 to 8 p.m.

Foxtown Station (6209 W. Mequon Rd.) is celebrating its version of Maifest from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Yoga and a Pour is happening at North Pillar Brewing (212 E. North St., Waukesha) from 10 to 11 a.m. Tickets are $15 and include a half off deal on your first beverage.

Discount Liquor Milwaukee is offering samples from Revolution Brewing (noon to 3 p.m.) and 3 Sheeps Brewing (noon to 2 p.m.).

Sunday, May 18

Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) hosts Maifest, a gluten-free food and beer festival, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Five food trucks are coming to The Tap Yard – Brookfield (2925 N. Barker Rd.) for the fourth annual Grilled Cheese Fest.

Wednesday, May 21: The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) is throwing a Summer Bash from 5 to 7 p.m. with burgers, hot dogs, games and more than three dozen beers from standouts like Toppling Goliath, Mikerphone, and more.

Saturday, May 31: Lager & Friends comes to Gathering Place. The beer fest is in its seventh year.

Saturday, May 31: 3 Sheeps Brewing (1837 North Ave., Sheboygan) is throwing a party to celebrate a whopping 13 years in business. From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. they’ll be pouring limited release beers that pair nicely with live music and food.

Saturday, June 7: The Wisconsin & Beer Lovers Festival moves from Bayshore to the Bavarian Bierhaus (700 W. Lexington Blvd.) this year. It features libations from more than 30 Wisconsin breweries, cideries and wineries.

Thursday, June 19: The New Glarus beer dinner at Tess is already taking reservations. Call 414-964-8377 to make one, because it’s sure to sell out.
