The transformation of the former Joey Gerard’s (11120 N. Cedarburg Rd., Mequon) into a second location of Mr. B’s: A Bartolotta Steakhouse are complete, and opening day is Thursday, Sept. 14.
Now the one-time home of The Riversite has a similar look and feel to its Brookfield sibling, plus a wine cellar with more than 200 varieties of vino.
Working with Bartolotta corporate chef Adam Siegel, executive chef Amber Dorszynski created a menu similar to the original Mr. B’s, so the main event is steak (filet mignon to rib-eye) and steak and seafood or fish (shrimp scampi, scallops, salmon, crab cakes), from $39.
A few additions, in appetizer and salad sections, are steak tartare, Josper bacon (steak-cut bacon grilled in the Josper oven), French onion soup and a burrata cheese-tomato salad. Seafood and fish dishes inlude baked Great Lakes whitefish with Dijon/herbed breadcrumbs, sauteed spinach and roasted potatoes.
Like the Brookfield location, Mequon’s menu is also for diners who don’t want typical steakhouse fare. There’s wood-roasted chicken, baby back ribs, a seasonal rigatoni dish and a half-pound burger.
Hours: Mon-Thurs 5:30-9 p.m.; Fri 5:30-10 p.m.; Sat 5-10 p.m.; Sun 5-8 p.m. (262-518-5500)
