Ask Ann: What Restaurants are Offering Thanksgiving Dinner?

Got a dining question? Our critic answers it.

Read all of our Ask Ann questions.

Q: We’re planning to go out for Thanksgiving. Which restaurants are serving on Turkey Day?

A: Fortunately quite a few restaurants are firing up their ovens on Thursday, Nov. 22, so you don’t have to.

If you’d like a restaurant-prepared meal to enjoy in your own home, the Packing House (900 E. Layton Ave.) will be busy ushering turkey dinners through the drive-thru (11 a.m.-4 p.m.). That’s in addition to a sit-down meal (regular and holiday menus) in the dining room (11 a.m.-8 p.m.).

Devon Seafood + Steak, at Bayshore Town Center (5715 N. Bayshore Dr.), is serving a three-course prix-fixe menu (11 a.m.-6 p.m.) that will likely include the customary bird with the fixings.

Count on many hotel restaurants being open at least part of the day. For instance, Tre Rivali at the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel (200 N. Broadway) is open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and offering a Mediterranean-style Thanksgiving buffet (with carved turkey, too). The Iron Horse Hotel (500 W. Florida St.) is offering brunch (10 a.m.-4 p.m.), including classic fare.

Many other hotels will be serving, too, including Milwaukee ChopHouse at Hilton Milwaukee Downtown (633 N. Fifth St.; à la carte specials plus regular menu, 4-9 p.m.); Mason Street Grill (425 E. Mason St.) with a three-course menu (1-7 p.m.); and Pfister Hotel (424 E. Wisconsin Ave.), laying out a “bountiful” brunch (11 a.m.-3 p.m.).
