American Family Field Is Getting a New Scoreboard

Plus some of the other new things you can expect to see at the stadium in the upcoming Brewers season

A state-of-the-art scoreboard that will be among the largest of any in the major leagues and new food and beverage offerings at the 3rd Street Market Hall Annex will be among the new amenities at American Family Field for the upcoming Milwaukee Brewers baseball season.

The most noticeable upgrade this season will be brand new scoreboards and LED digital displays behind home plate and along the baselines. The centerpiece of the installation is the new 8mm LED digital display overlooking center field, measuring 12,077 square feet. The main display will be among the largest scoreboards of any baseball stadium, with full-screen edge-to-edge coverage. It is more than twice the size of the current 5,940-square-foot display.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

A new 2,840-square-foot 8mm LED scoreboard over right field will also offer improved visibility for fans. The increased pixel resolution of both scoreboards creates high-impact digital media canvases capable of detailed player statistics, game highlights and promotional features.

Visual display company ANC will oversee the enhancement of the existing digital and static stadium signage, new LED signage and the integration of a new broadcast control room.

“With the advancements in technology since we last installed a new board, the new displays are a game-changer,” Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger said. “The boards will offer greater visibility from all areas of American Family Field, significantly better picture quality and facilitate enhanced in-game content.”

New food and beverage offerings will be available at the 3rd Street Market Hall Annex, inspired by the original Downtown location and including several local food vendors. The 3rd Street Market Hall Annex will be located on the right field loge level and feature Kompali Tacos, Smokin’ Jack’s BBQ, KAWA, which offers Asian fusion fare, and Anytime Arepa, featuring Venezuelan-inspired offerings.

In addition to the food offerings, the space has also been redesigned and reconfigured as a gathering spot with a gaming area for children.

“We are continually looking for ways to create the best experience for our fans. With the addition of the 3rd Street Market Hall Annex to American Family Field, fans will be able to enjoy local vendors with the atmosphere of the popular Milwaukee food hall location,” Schlesinger said.

The Brewers Team Store has also expanded and been reconfigured to offer a variety of new products and increased ease for the shopping and check-out process. The off-season expansion and sales floor reconfiguration adds an increased selection in all retail categories, including a customization corner, more space for improved gameday shopping and a streamlined check-out process in a newly added register room.
