Aaron Rodgers Is Getting a Netflix Documentary

‘Aaron Rodgers: Enigma’ begins streaming in December.

Aaron Rodgers had a rough season last year. The former Packers quarterback started (and ended) his first season with the New York Jets by tearing his Achilles on the first drive of the team’s first game.

That rough season is now grist for a Netflix documentary titled Aaron Rodgers: Enigma. The three-part series will follow Rodgers, who is 40 years old, as he mounts his comeback season after the injury, while also “exploring his life and career through the intimate and difficult parts that made him a household name on and off the field.”

The documentary premieres on Netflix on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

“I believe in the power of prayer and intention,” Rodgers says in the trailer. “And from the first night this [injury] happened, hours after that, I was surrounded by bunch of really special people in my life, and we just laid down a lot of prayers.”

Rodgers returned to the field on Monday in the Jets’ season opener against the San Francisco 49ers, in which the Jets lost 32-19.
