Friday is a day of remembrance for Sade Robinson on what would have been her 20th birthday.
A memorial service will be held at the Baird Center, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a private ceremony following until 8:30 p.m.
In support of Sade and her family, Milwaukee area businesses, restaurants and organizations are being called upon to take part in a “Pink Out” as a display of support.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
Pink lights will adorn Fiserv Forum and the Deer District Friday evening, with staff wearing pink. The 3rd Street Market Hall will be honoring Sade as well and employees at businesses in the Downtown food hall will also be wearing pink.
Pizza Shuttle, the popular East Side eatery where Sade worked, will be closed so all staff can attend the service.

“Since the tragedy has enveloped our city, and the life and future of Sade was so unfairly stolen from her, much of the community has been grieving and mourning this undeserving loss,” organizers of Friday’s memorial said. “Sade changed lives. She impacted our city and community. She was beautiful both inside and out. More than that, she never even hurt a fly. Her personality was both altruistic and genuine. She always put others before herself. She lit up every room she walked in. She was our earth angel. She did not need to leave us though to gain that title, and the grief that comes with that is still too raw and heavy.”
Authorities have said that Sade was murdered and dismembered after a first date with 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson, who worked as a bartender at multiple Milwaukee establishments. Anderson has been charged with homicide and other counts.
The two reportedly had dinner and went to a bar before going to Anderson’s South Side home. Some of Sade’s remains were found near the Warnimont Park Golf Course in Cudahy on April 2, the same day her family reported her missing. Additional remains believed to belong to Robinson have since been discovered and a burned car belonging to her was found in an alley near her home.
