Last night, lightening struck a family’s home in Shorewood, and their house caught fire. While family members Laura Kregloski, her two children, Emily and Brooke, and her boyfriend Michael Glass were not harmed, they lost most everything in the fire.
But there’s a silver lining.
A family friend Clai Green, owner of Luci Boutique (532 N. Water St., 414-226-0114), has placed a large box outside of the store where community members can donate items to the family. “Any donations people can bring to the store would be great – they lost everything,” Green says.
Kregloski is a size 6 pant and a medium in tops; Michael is a 32×31 pant and a large in tops; Emily, age 16, is a size 8 pant and a large in tops; and Brooke, age 14, is a size 2 pant and a small in tops.
Green will be accepting donations all weekend and will drop them off to the family. In addition, a $1 cash donation with purchase at the boutique is appreciated – all cash will be given directly to the family. “I am so saddened by this,” says Green. “Just when you think it could not happen to you or a close friend.”
