Savannah Guthrie made her official debut as Matt Lauer’s co-host on the “Today Show” Monday, starting the longtime morning show’s effort to get those ratings back on top! Guthrie is NBC’s chief legal analyst, and said she is “honored to have one of those rare jobs that you can describe as fun and actually mean it.” 40-year-old Guthrie has co-hosted the four-hour “Today” show’s 9 a.m. hour for more than a year and replaces Ann Curry, who was in the job for only a year. NBC has had very little to say publicly about Curry’s departure, but NBC News President Stave Capus did say “it was obvious that Curry had little sincere interest in the lighter celebrity or cooking segments that are a big part of a morning anchor’s job.” With that being said, I want to know if you feel that statement is accurate. Is Savannah the better fit for co-host?
