Our Year in Covers

Last year was a wild ride for this magazine, and 2015 is proving to be no different. We’ve got exciting stories and technological developments in the hopper and we’re very excited to share them with you. We also work really hard on our covers and when we hear feedback about them, we truly consider it all. So now we’re asking for it, and we don’t want you to hold back.  Please vote for your favorite cover from 2014 and, if you’re feeling verbose, leave your thoughts in the comments.  And don’t forget: we’ve got thick skin.  December  November  October  September…

Claire Hanan worked at the magazine as an editor from 2012-2017. She edited the Culture section and wrote stories about all sorts of topics, including the arts, fashion, politics and more. In 2016, she was a finalist for best profile writing at the City and Regional Magazine Awards for her story "In A Flash." In 2014, she won the the Milwaukee Press gold award for best public service story for editing "Handle With Care," a service package about aging in Milwaukee. Before all this, she attended the University of Missouri's School of Journalism and New York University's Summer Publishing Institute.
