Here’s what we’re reading this morning.

  • The Cap Times is covering the legal challenge to the new state law requiring hospital admitting privileges for doctors who perform abortions. A win by the state would be a loss for Affiliated Medical Center in Milwaukee.
  • Walter Ellis, Milwaukee’s “North Side Strangler,” has died of “natural causes,” TMJ reports. He was serving multiple life sentences for the murders of seven women.

Matt has written for Milwaukee Magazine since 2006, when he was a lowly intern. Since then, he’s held the posts of assistant news editor and, most recently, senior editor.
