Image of the Day A view of the Public Service Building (The Milwaukee Electric Railway and Light Company) from the top floor of the Grand Ave. Mall parking garage. Built in 1905 and designed in the Beaux Arts Neoclassicalism style it was the center of the “interurban” streetcar system transportation network. At one time the system extended west to Watertown, north to Sheboygan, south to Kenosha, and southwest to Burlington and East Troy. The final line was abandoned June 30, 1951.  www.MKEimages.com
