“…shares the antic qualities of classic Warner Bros. cartoons.” Lou Lumenick, New York Post
“… a nicely rendered travelogue without storytelling.” Carrie Rickey, Philadelphia Inquirer
Manny and Ellie the wooly mammoths (Romano and Latifah), Scrat the squirrel (Chris Wedge), Diego the saber-toothed tiger (Leary) and Sid the sloth (Leguizamo) leave the Ice Age for the newly discovered exotic world of dinosaurs in this frustratingly boring third entry in the Ice Age series. With a subtle message about staying true to your identity, Dawn consists of a mash-up of half-thawed storylines that involve the birth of Manny and Ellie’s daughter and Sid’s misguided attempt to raise dinosaur babies. Only kids will laugh at lines like “Nice mucus. And I don’t say that to everyone,” and adults will find gags like the melodramatic squirrel romance annoying.
