The 440th Airlift Division of the United States Air Force called General Mitchell
International Airport home for 50 years until the division – and its signature
C-130s – were relocated to Pope Air Force Base, N.C., in 2006. But for a
weekend they flew over Milwaukee once again, carrying Navy SEAL Leap Frogs to
their jump at the Milwaukee Air and Water Show.
