A blogger for the Washington Post is reporting that Bill Clinton is flying to Wisconsin tomorrow to campaign for Tom Barrett in his recall race against Gov. Scott Walker.

A visit from the former president could boost turnout among Democrats in the election to be held next Tuesday. Either way, the state Government Accountability Board is projecting a turnout of 60-65 percent, the highest since the 2008 presidential election.

The Democratic National Committee is turning more of its attention to the Walker/Barrett match-up as June 5 draws closer. Chair Debbie Wasserman said recently Clinton was planning a visit to Wisconsin, but the WaPo blogger, Greg Sargent, cites an unnamed source confirming Clinton has scheduled a Friday visit.

UPDATE: In an email to Barrett supporters, Clinton provides a link to a website promoting a rally in Milwaukee. An exact location has not been announced yet.

The email signed by Clinton says, “Folks in Wisconsin have been on the front lines of fighting for working,
middle-class families across America for more than 16 months. I’m coming to
Wisconsin to help Tom and the extraordinary grassroots volunteers on the
ground.”
