Monday, March 12: Eisley with Tallhart and Christie DuPree @ Shank Hall, 8 p.m. ($15) The Tyler, Texas, family quartet Eisley has been no stranger to the city of Milwaukee, making three previous appearances within the last year and a half. We certainly don’t mind visitors here, especially when those visitors are popular indie rockers at the top of their game. Expect much of the same beautiful harmonizing and eloquent instrumentation that us Milwaukeeans have come to expect this time around. (1434 N. Farwell Ave., ShankHall.com)
Tuesday, March 13: Hoots & Hellmouth @ Shank Hall, 8 p.m. ($10)
Sometimes a band’s name just fits. This is the case with Philadelphia-bases roots rockers Hoots & Hellmouth. This unpredictable group of soul shakers specializes in raucous call-and-respond sing-alongs that tend to whip the crowd into frenzied “hoots” and, well, “hellmouths.” Fortunately for you, the band is better than the attempt at humor! Wednesday, March 14: The Levon Helm Band @ Potawatomi Northern Lights Theater, 8 p.m. ($50-$65)
Rising to prominence in the late-‘60s as Bob Dylan’s backing group, The Band went on to release several albums and become one of the forefathers of the country rock genre. Although the band members were all talented musicians, drummer Levon Helm has since taken it to another level with his acclaimed solo work. Just how impressive is his resume? The man successfully came back from an arduous battle with throat cancer to win the Grammy for best Americana album two of the last three years. (1721 W. Canal St., PaysBig.com)
Thursday, March 15: G. Love and Special Sauce with Scott H. Biram @ Turner Hall, 8 p.m. ($17.25/$22.25)
G. Love and Special Sauce is one of those unique bands that have managed to turn the road into a career. The Philadelphia-based group has released numerous eclectic hip-hop, blues and funk-infused albums throughout its almost two decade lifespan, with some receiving relative amounts of airplay and critical note. But it has been the tireless road warrior mentality that has truly made the Sauce such an iconic and longstanding underground attraction. (1032 N. 4th St., PabstTheater.org)
Also: The Fatty Acids with The Daredevil Christopher Wright and Myles Coyne @ Riverwest Public House, 9 p.m. ($5) – (815 E. Locust St., RiverwestPublicHouse.WordPress.com)

Friday, March 16: Castle Thunder with Canopies and John The Savage @ Club Garibaldi, 9 p.m. ($6)
After releasing the tantalizing debut EP Wolf In Sheepskin last spring, Castle Thunder is currently hard at work on the follow-up. And judging by the danceably folksy vibe and smooth pop delivery exhibited on the former, the new EP has the potential to make a lot of noise in local circles this year. Sharing the stellar bill are local favorites Canopies and John The Savage. (2501 S. Superior St., MySpace.com/ClubGaribaldis)

MUSIC NOTES SHOW OF THE WEEK
Saturday, March 17: The Tossers with We Are The Union @ Turner Hall, 7 p.m. ($14)
It’s that time of year again: Time for everyone regardless of race or nationality to get a little Irish in them (and then toss that Irish right back out of them onto a Water Street curb). And what would the drunkest holiday of the year be without some rowdy Celtic rock courtesy of The Tossers and Gaelic Storm (see below) as a backdrop? And though it’s an absolute honor to have two of the nation’s top Celtic drinkin’ bands choose to spend their most sacred of days with us in the Brew City, I still can’t quite put my finger on why they chose us. (1032 N. Fourth St., pabsttheater.org)
Also: Gaelic Storm @ The Riverside Theater, 7 p.m. ($27.50) – (116 W. Wisconsin Ave.,pabsttheater.org)
Also: Riverwest Public House One-Year Birthday Party with The Squeezettes, 9 p.m.
The Riverwest Public House has only been there for a year? This unique neighborhood co-op bar already feels like a Riverwest institution. Celebrate this anniversary with some good local brews and the best power polka the city has to offer in The Squeezettes. (815 E. Locust St., RiverwestPublicHouse.WordPress.com)
Also: The Snowbirds with The Championship and Mark Waldoch (solo) @ Cactus Club, 10 p.m. – (2496 S. Wentworth Ave., CactusClubMilwaukee.com)
