Local potter Kate Riley is busy at her wheel, preparing for the next Plate Collective dinner on Dec. 7 at Hinterland (222 E. Erie St., Suite 100, Third Ward). The dinner features four courses prepared by chefs Dan Van Rite (Hinterland), Thomas Hauck (c.1880), Shay Linkus (The Vanguard) and Paul Zerkel (Goodkind). Wine pairings also include. The evening will begin with a punch, at 6 p.m. Each guest will get a hand-made mug to take home. Riley works with each chef to design the dishes used for each course. Seats are limited to 24 diners. Cocktail hour 6 p.m.; dinner 7 p.m. Cost: $105.60 (which includes tax and tip). Reservations are required and must be made on the Plate Collective website. Click here.
