Foo Fighters returned to Milwaukee, last here for the Harley Davidson 105th Anniversary party back in 2008. Grohl proclaimed he’d be “playing double fucking extra long” to compensate for skipping Milwaukee on their last American tour. Davidson 105th Anniversary party back in 2008. Grohl proclaimed he’d be
“playing double fucking extra long” to compensate for skipping
Milwaukee on their last American tour. The Foo Fighters stop at Summerfest was
one of only four stateside stops on their current tour.  Despite the heat the Foo Fighters did not
disappoint.

Opening with “All My Life,” the Foo Fighters
delivered a high-energy and entertaining show from the get go. The set also contained
“Breakout,” “Times Like These,” “Best of You” and
“Monkey Wrench” from past albums  as well as many songs off of their latest
album, Wasting Light, including “Rope,” “Arlandria,”
“”White Limo,” “Walk” and “These Days.” The
crowd mirrored the Foo Fighters energy with singing, clapping dancing and air
drums/guitars. After a “long fucking sweaty night” (Grohl’s words,
not mine), they ended with “Everlong,” giving crowd exactly what it
wanted.
