You can read an awful lot on our site about beer. No disrespect to Brew City scribe Dan Murphy, but the man’s coverage is limited to foam. We turn now to the distilled beverage in anticipation of Milwaukee Cocktail Week (Sept. 21-27). The event starts with the ticketed Kickoff Tailgate (Sunday, Sept. 21, 11:30 a.m.) at Horny Goat Hideaway. The rest of the week is dotted with seminars, cocktail dinners and other booze-related happenings. For instance, on Sept. 23, Braise is hosting a three-course, family-style dinner with cocktail pairings from the new Central Standard Distillery. (Cost is $50-per-person.) Ending the week is Cocktail College & Spirit Festival at the Iron Horse Hotel on Sunday, Sept. 27. The week’s events are listed on the Milwaukee Cocktail Week website, prices too. It should be anything but a sobering week.
