Clash of the Titans is a good bad movie. It’s bad because the acting is weak, the characters are unrelatable, and the so-so special effects take away from a cohesive storyline. Still, it manages to be somewhat entertaining due to its adventurousness and fast-paced action. A remake of the 1981 original starring Laurence Olivier, the Greek mythological Clash tells the story of half-god, half-mortal Perseus (Worthington) and his journey to stop the god’s destruction of the earth. Halfway through, Clash becomes muddled and Perseus’ various quests forgettable; but, the momentum picks up towards the end when the romance advances between our hero and his ethereal guide (Arterton) and when the menacing Kraken is unleashed.
