Friday (June 28) is D-Day for Carson’s Prime Steaks & Famous Barbecue (301 W. Juneau Ave.), located inside The Moderne – a 30-story luxury condo/apartment building). Carson’s has quite the Chicago reputation. The first location opened in 1977. Carson’s brings to Milwaukee a similar menu and what promises to be a swanky space, designed by Milwaukee architecture firm Rinka Chung. Lunch service won’t begin for another week or so. Dinner service starts at 4 p.m. and the patio opens on Tuesday. Here’s a look at the menu: BBQ baby-back ribs, chicken and pork chops; steaks from a 10 ounce filet to a black Angus NY strip ($29-$40).
