The Crops on Top Garden Party takes place at Amorphic Beer (3700 N. Fratney St.) from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be food, live music and beer from Amorphic. Tickets are $45.
Try samples from Hacker-Pschorr and Paulaner from 3 to 5 p.m. at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.).
Saturday, July 20
Sahale Ale Works (1505 Wisconsin Ave., Grafton) celebrates five years of business with a two-day party on Saturday and Sunday. They’ll be releasing their anniversary beer, Gimme Five!, which is an imperial wild ale made with pink guava, dragon fruit and prickly pear cactus. Sahale also has five collaboration beers planned with the likes of 3 Sheeps, Lakefront, Working Draft, Pabst and one made with the help of all of Ozaukee County’s breweries.
1840 Brewing Co. is also celebrating 7 Years of Slow Beer with a block party at its Bay View location (342 E. Ward St.) at noon. They’re releasing three beers. 7 Years of Slow Beer is an imperial stout aged first in a bourbon barrel and then in a vanilla bourbon barrel. 7 Cs is a West Coast triple IPA, and Saaz it Off is brett saison aged in Chardonnay barrels.
Component Brewing Company (2018 S. 1st) is throwing a Post RNC/Pre Harley Weekend Party. there will be live music, food and a couple of new beverages to try. Component is releasing Tropical Dome Sour and a strawberry lime seltzer.
Urban Harvest Brewing (1024 S. 5th St.) is throwing a summer block party from 1 to 8 p.m. There will be live music and Urban Harvest is releasing Kööler Near the Lake, Kölsch-style ale.
Lakefront Brewing brewed Holding Pattern Lager as a house beer for Final Approach (4959 S. Howell Ave.). The release party is happening at Final Approach from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Dogfish Head is offering samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (919 N. Barstow Ave.) from noon to 2 p.m.

July 27: The 14th Milwaukee Brewfest takes place at McKinley Park (1750 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr.).
Aug. 3: The eighth annual Wisconsin IPA Fest comes to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.). The always entertaining Weird Fest returns to MobCraft (505 S. 5th St.).
