Who said summer camps are just for kids? At this one, you must be 21 or older to enter. New Belgium Brewery is teaming up with the Urban Ecology Center to create an epic outdoorsy summer experience. You can go rock climbing, paddling on the river, taste different beers and more! Register now for $60.

4. Monarch Larva Monitoring
JULY 19 FROM NOON-1 P.M. | MENOMONEE VALLEY
At this free event, you can view larval Monarch butterflies up close. Help the Urban Ecology Center monitor the Monarch population in the area. Learning things during the summer has never been so fun or easy.
5. Betty Brinn Children’s Museum Wonder Wagon
JULY 23 FROM 10 A.M.-NOON | RIVERSIDE PARK
For this free, family-friendly event, the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum Wonder Wagon is making a stop at the Riverside Park center. This brightly colored “wagon” gives a chance for kids to try out hands-on and collaborative activities and art.
6. Menomonee Valley ROOT
JULY 27 FROM 9-11 A.M. | MENOMONEE VALLEY
ROOT stands for Restoring Our Outdoors Together. Stop by and help out with invasive species removal, trail work, planting and more. Any helpers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
7. Sculpture MKE Ride
JULY 30 FROM 9:30 A.M.-NOON | RIVERSIDE VALLEY
Art and biking are a Milwaukee match made in heaven. Join the Urban Ecology Center crew for a 2.3-mile bike ride downtown to explore Sculpture Milwaukee’s 2022 outdoor exhibit titled Nature Doesn’t Know About Us. Sculpture Milwaukee staff member will meet the group to give a tour of the public art gallery. Teens and adults are welcome. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for kids.
