7 Christmas Tree Farms Within Driving Distance

Use this guide to find the perfect tree this year.

We’ve rounded up seven places to pick up your tree this holiday season, and all of them are 35 minutes away or closer. So, hop in the car, put on those holiday tunes and go dashing through the snow (if we ever get any) to pick out your perfect tree.

1. Ideal Christmas Trees – Downtown

DOWNTOWN MILWAUKEE | PERE MARQUETTE PARK

Featuring fresh cut Wisconsin-grown trees, wreaths, various garlands and centerpieces, this lot is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m as your “one-stop-shop” for holiday décor.  Stop by on Dec. 13 from 1:15 to 4:15 p.m. for a live reindeer visit too! And while you’re there, check out the holiday lights in the park as part of the Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival.

2. Ideal Christmas Trees – Shorewood

10 MINUTE DRIVE | 4121 W. WILSON DR.

Shop around for fresh cut Wisconsin-grown trees, wreaths, various garlands and centerpieces, this lot is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m as your “one-stop-shop” for holiday décor.  Check out the ice carving demonstration on Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a unique holiday experience.

3. Ideal Christmas Trees – Whitefish Bay

10 MINUTE DRIVE | LAKE VIEW AVE. NEAR ST. MONICA SCHOOL

Head on over to Whitefish Bay for cut Wisconsin-grown trees, wreaths, various garlands and centerpieces, this lot is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m as your “one-stop-shop” for holiday décor. Pop in on Dec. 13 for a live reindeer visist from 9 a.m. to noon too for some bonus holiday fun!

4. Wellens Tree Farm

25 MINUTE DRIVE | CORNER OF BROAD ST. & SCHOOLWAY, GREENDALE

Check out the Balsam and Fraser fir trees along with handmade wreaths at this retail lot in the historic downtown Greendale. They’re open seven days a week and hours vary.

5. Muskego Choose & Cut Christmas Trees

30 MINUTE DRIVE | CORNER OF MOORLAND & WOODS RD., MUSKEGO

Open Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until the weekend before Christmas, this tree lot offers Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, White Pine, White Spruce and Blue Spruce.

6. Buffalo Bill’s Christmas Trees

30 MINUTE DRIVE | 9612 W. OAKWOOD RD., FRANKLIN

Not only does Buffalo Bill’s farm have thousands of trees growing on their 60 acre farm to either choose and cut or pick up pre-cut, but they also have activities and fun for the whole family, including kid’s crafts, a campfire, pop-in visits from Santa and more!

7. Cozy Nook Farm

35 MINUTE DRIVE | S11 W30780 SUMMIT AVE., WAUKESHA

Drive on over to Cozy Nook Farm to pick up Fraser Firs, Balsam and White pine trees all grown right here in Wisconsin, or to get your wreaths and other decorations as well. They’re open 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. now until they sell out, which their webs
