3. Weird Fest
SATURDAY FROM 7-9 P.M. | ONLINE EVENT
Weird Fest is back for its seventh birthday. Organizers ask you to meet them at the virtual intersection of Weird Street & Weird Street for a digital celebration of “all things weird!” You can order your take-home tasting kit online and pick it up at Mobcraft Beer’s taproom. Then, all that’s left to do is put on your weirdest outfit and join the event on Zoom.
4. Milwaukee Riverkeeper Boat Parade
SUNDAY FROM NOON-2 P.M. | MILWAUKEE RIVER
This parade doesn’t just have floats, it floats. Local artists and performers showcase their talents in a way that celebrates local waterways. The parade starts in the Mooring Basin then travels north up the Humboldt St. Bridge before circling back down the river. Spectators are reminded to “mask up, spread out, wash hands and be kind.” If you don’t feel comfortable going out, the event will be streamed on Facebook and Youtube.
5. Great Milwaukee Brewery Bike Race
SUNDAY FROM 2:30-5:30 P.M. | MULTIPLE LOCATIONS
This bike race has no marked course and a loose plan. Here’s how it works: Join either team Bay View (starting/finishing at Enlightened Brewing Company or Team Riverwest (starting/finishing at Gathering Place Brewing Company), drink a beer where you start, swap breweries and drink a beer there, then race back to where you started. The fastest 3 finishers win prizes and the team with the overall fastest time wins a trophy to be displayed at the winning brewery until next year. Registration includes three beers and is $15 in advance, $20 day of.
