5 Things to Do in Milwaukee This Week: Oct. 26-29

It’s Halloweek in Milwaukee! Here are some fun things to do this week.

1. Milwaukee Film Festival Watch Party

MONDAY AT 7 P.M. | VIRTUAL

Over at MilMag, we’re really excited about the Milwaukee film festival. That’s why we decided to host our own watch party with our editor team to view Stage: The Culinary Internship. Find us on Twitter where we’ll be chatting about the film.

2. Encountering the Status Quo: A History of Protest in Art & Design

TUESDAY 7-8 P.M. | VIRTUAL

Join the Milwaukee Jewish Museum and Dr. Margaret Schmitz to learn about how visual culture and the history of protest art and design are alive today. Explore different artists throughout time who have used art as responses to world crises, such as Picasso’s “Guernica” and other pieces. This night of education and art is free open to the public.

ENTER OUR HOME & DESIGN AWARDS

We want to see your best work. Architects, interior designers, renovation experts and landscapers: Enter your residential projects in Milwaukee Magazine’s new design competition.

3. Bikes & Brews: Creatures of the Night

THURSDAY AT 4:30 P.M. | 3700 W. PIERCE, MENOMENEE VALLEY

In the last event of the series, the Urban Ecology Center’s Bikes & Brew: Creatures of the Night will be an engaging bike ride accompanied with art, animals and history. And of course, there will be plenty of ‘brew’ to sip as well! Participants must be at least 21 years old to register and tickets are $20-30.

4. Halloween Week at AJ Bombers
