3 New Things Coming to Milwaukee This Month

3 New Things Coming to Milwaukee This Month

Albums, books and a vintage-inspired media store.

1. Rokeby

Written while dog-sitting in New York’s Hudson Valley, local folk singer-songwriter Maximiano’s latest release taps into nature. Expect the sharp lyrics, intricate arrangements and quiet beauty that have become their trademark. The album
is out April 1.

2. Good Shit Video

Dust off your VCR (if you still have it). This Walker’s Point spot is a revival of the video stores of yore, selling Blu-rays, DVDs and VHS tapes. The collection is curated, hence the name. 908 S. Fifth St.

3. Milwaukee Through History

Take a deep dive into our city’s past with this easy-to-understand history guide. Golda Meir teacher James K. Nelsen wrote it with middle and high school students in mind, but adults are sure to learn plenty, too.
