20 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Dec. 16-21

The craft beer calendar doesn’t slow down during the holiday season. This week is a full slate of parties, tastings, markets, and more.

Tuesday, Dec. 16

Faklandia Brewpub (3807 S. Packard Ave.) has a cool holiday-themed paint-and-sip happening at 6 p.m. where you can learn how to paint a holiday stormtrooper (yup, apparently the Dark Side has a soft spot for Christmas). Cost is $25 and Star Wars apparel is encouraged.

Wednesday, Dec. 17

A Holiday Bierklasse is happening at Centraal Grand Cafe & Tappery (2306 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. They’ll be pairing seven potent holiday beers with three small courses. Tickets are $70.

Thursday, Dec. 18

Station No. 06 (6800 W. Becher St., West Allis) has some pretty great barrel-aged winter warmer beers slated for Yule Be Feeling Alright, their annual Christmas party.

The folks from Chicagoland’s Solemn Oath Brewery are swinging by Supermoon Beer Co. (3145 S. Howell Ave.) from 4 to 9 p.m. They’ll be taking over nine of the taps and pouring Solemn Oath brews as a preview to when they open up in Bay View in 2026.

Explorium Brewpub (5300 S. 76th St., Greendale) is throwing an Ugly Sweater Party at 6 p.m. There will be drink specials, music, and if you bring an unwrapped toy donation, your first beer is free. While you’re there, know that Explorium is one of the businesses offering an extra $25 gift card when you buy $25 or more in gift cards through Dec. 24 It’s part of Visit Milwaukee’s Buy Local Bonus Program.

New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. First St.) is releasing Drop the Gloves, a hockey-themed imperial pilsner.

Try samples from Three Floyds Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 19

Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) is releasing a pair of new Brewers’ Reserve beers in the Beer Hall. Kitchen Sink Barleywine is available in two variants, one aged in rum barrels and one aged in bourbon and rye barrels. Doors open at 11 a.m. but an online presale starts at 9 a.m.

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) is helping out last-minute Christmas shoppers. The Procrastinator’s Christmas runs from 4 to 8 p.m. and includes great deals on all sorts of Third Space stuff. They’re also tapping a few festive seasonal brews to put you in the mood. Third Space is another brewery participating in the Buy Local Bonus Program.

Discount Liquor is offering Belgian samples from Duvel and Brasserie d’Achouffe from 3 to 6 p.m. at its Milwaukee location and from 3 to 5 p.m. at its Waukesha store (919 N. Barstow St.).

Saturday, Dec. 20

Component Brewing (2018 S. First St.) hosts one of the more unique (and hard on the ears) Christmas parties. The Creedsmas Party includes food, live music and, when Scott Stapp bellows a Creed song on the Component speakers, drink specials. The festivities run from 2 to 9 p.m.

Clash of the Craft returns to Eagle Park Brewing (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy., Muskego) for the Packers-Bears game. They’ll be tapping six kegs from Phase Three Brewing – a heck of a brewery from Lake Zurich, Illinois – to go along with food specials and raffles.

The Red Magic Holiday Art Market features the work of Native American artists. The market runs from 1 to 5 p.m. at Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.).

Beer Brûlée is happening again at Indeed Brewing (530 S. Second St.). From 4 to 7 p.m. they’ll be putting red-hot pokers into beers to caramelize sugars and create amazing flavors.

Enjoy beers from Pilot Project Brewing (1128 N. Ninth St.) while decorating holiday cookies. Cookie decorating happens from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and tickets are just $10. Pilot Project supplies the cookies. Pilot Project is also goosing gift card sales via the Buy Local Bonus Program.

Try samples from Point Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 2 p.m. Discount Waukesha pours samples from Revolution Brewing from noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 21

The Riverwest Winter Farmers Market comes to Amorphic Beer (3700 N. Fratney St.) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ope! Brewing (6749 W. National Ave., West Allis) has you covered for last-minute Christmas shopping with the Ope! Forgot to Shop Market from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 20: Explorium Brewpub – Greendale is hosting its Ninth Anniversary Beer Dinner. The five-course event begins at 6 p.m. and costs $83.

Friday, Jan. 23: Inventors Brewpub (305 E. Washington St., Port Washington) is the location for two days of craft beer celebration. Friday is a Homebrew Expo that includes a homebrew competition and equipment swap. That’s followed by the Winter Beer Invitational on Saturday, where more than 20 breweries will be pouring seasonal brews.

Saturday, Jan. 24: Waukesha’s excellent North Pillar Brewing (winner of our Best of the Burbs Readers Choice vote for Brewery Taproom) is celebrating its second anniversary with general festivities and at least three beers to mark the occasion.
