Young Blood Beer Co. is the featured brewery of the month at Magellan’s on Main Street (370 W. Main St., Waukesha), and that means free samples from 5 to 7 p.m. They’ll be pouring four cocktail-inspired beers, three of which are collabs with local breweries.
Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) has perfected the art of the fried cheese curd, which makes it the ideal place to spend National Cheese Curd Day (yes, that’s a thing). Lakefront opens at 2 p.m. to let people sample some unique cheese curd flavors (chicken and waffle curds, anyone?) and compete in a cheese curd pulling competition.
Amorphic Beer is spending a night at the Oriental Theatre (2230 N. Farwell Ave.) for Three-Minute Thesis All Stars. Watch some amazing presenters while sipping on Amorphic brews. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 and include a free beer.
Create your own Halloween decoration at the Pumpkin Mosaic Class at MKE Brewing (2335 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 and include all the supplies you need and a drink.

Upstate New York’s Brewery Ommegang comes to Tess (2499 N. Bartlett Ave.) for a five-course beer dinner. Call 414-964-8377 to make a reservation.
A Paint and Sip event is happening at Central Waters Brewing (1037 W. Juneau Ave.) from 5 to 9 p.m. Admission is $40.
Try samples from Duesterbeck’s Brewing, a farmhouse brewery in Elkhorn, at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 6 p.m. Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) is pouring samples from Chicago’s Revolution Brewing from 3 to 5 p.m.

Component Brewing Company (2018 S. First St.) is throwing a party to mark the release of its new Canadian lager, I’m Not Your Guy, Buddy, from 5 to 10 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 18
The Wisconsin Brewery Running Series wraps up a busy season with a trip to Ope! Brewing Co. (6751 W. National Ave., West Allis). The casual 5K starts at 11 a.m. and prices start at $44.
The Haunts & Hops Makers Market is happening at Ope! Brewing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) turns into the Taproom of Terror for a night. Pumpkin carving, pumpkin bowling, costume contest, candy eating and live music are all on the agenda.
The Landing at Hoyt Park (1800 N. Swan Blvd., Wauwatosa) is the site of the Fall Beer Fest from 1 to 4 p.m. Several local and Wisconsin-based breweries will be there. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door.
Torzala Brewing is pouring at the Pop-Up Pumpkin Party at the Bayside Beer Garden (600 E. Ellsworth Ln.) from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be pumpkin decorating, costume contests and dad jokes.
Discount Liquor Milwaukee hands out samples from Revolution Brewing from noon to 2 p.m. At Discount Waukesha, you can try samples of Leinenkugel’s Legacy Ale from noon to 2 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 19
The Lower East Side Makers Market comes to Eagle Park Brewing (815 E. Hamilton St.) from noon to 5 p.m. It’s family friendly and costumes are acceptable.
Stretch & Sip Yoga is slated for 11 a.m. at Raised Grain Brewing Co. (1723 Dolphin Dr., Waukesha). Cost is $20 and includes a post workout beverage.

Saturday, Oct. 25: Pilot Project Fest is bringing nearly 30 area breweries to the Pilot Project space. General admission tickets start at $36.
Sunday, Nov. 9: One of the more unique regular local brewery events is the Bluegrass Gospel Brunch, which is happening at Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.) at 11 a.m.
