Merriment Madness at Merriment Social (240 E. Pittsburgh Ave.) means two burgers, created by local breweries, go head-to-head. The public votes on their favorite and which one will advance through the burger bracket. Enlightened Brewing and Central Waters Brewing square off this week from Wednesday until Sunday. A portion of the proceeds are donated to the charity of each brewery’s choice.
Surly Brewing will be at Comet Cafe (1947 N. Farwell Ave.) offering a few samples and swag. Taps from Surly are $2 off all month.
Component Brewing (2018 S. 1st St.) has a four-course beer dinner planned with Trouble Maker’s Cocina at 6 p.m. Tickets are $75.
Third Space Brewing is stopping by Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) to pour Like a Girl IPA and a few other treats.

Paint and Sip Night comes to Perspective Brewing (7508 W. Greenfield Ave.) from 5 to 8 p.m. For $40, you get a canvas, painting supplies, instruction and a pair of drink tickets. Be sure to book early because space is limited.
The Old German Beer Hall (1009 Old World Third St.) marks being halfway to Oktoberfest with live music, half price beer and a free keg of Oktoberfestbier which is being tapped at 4:30 p.m.
City Lights Brewing is handing out samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 6 p.m.
Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) is offering samples from Hinterland Brewing from 3 to 5 p.m.
Friday, March 17
Explorium Brewpub is challenging beer lovers to a St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl. Start at either Explorium Greendale (5300 S. 76th St.) or Explorium Third Ward (143 W. St. Paul Ave.) and make your way to Just Arts Saloon, Indeed Brewing Company and Broken Bat Brewery. The fun starts in Greendale at noon or 1:15 p.m. in the Third Ward. Cost is $30 or $40 depending upon your starting point.
Biloba Brewing Company is throwing a St. Patrick’s Day party from 4 to 9 p.m. This means live music, a brat fry and Irish Red and Irish Stout on tap.
New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.) is releasing Doc O’Clock, a nitro Irish stout, from 3 to 11 p.m. Sláinte!
There are two releases happening at 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) this weekend. I’m A Sabro, I do Hop Sh!t is a pale ale, and We Go Together Like is a sour ale made with raspberry puree, peanuts and lactose. Presale starts at 9 a.m.
The weekly Small Batch Friday release at both Gathering Place Brewing locations (811 E. Vienna Ave. and 7208 W. North Ave.) is 80 Shilling Scottish Ale.
Saturday, March 18
Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is releasing Talking with Dinosaurs, a stout with cacao nibs, vanilla beans and sea salt. They’re also releasing DCBC Pilot Series Batch #2, a rye lager.
The popular, and limited, Willy Scotch Ale is hitting the taps at Urban Harvest Brewing (1024 S. 5th St.).
Big Head Brewing (6204 W. State St.) is hosting yoga at 11 a.m. Cost is just $20 and it includes a beer when you’re done.
Try samples form Central Waters Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 2 p.m.
Eagle Park Brewing will be at Discount Liquor Waukesha from 1 to 3 p.m.
Sunday, March 19
Yoga comes to MobCraft (505 S. 5th St.) from 11 a.m. to noon. The one-hour session includes a beer when you’re done.
