18 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: July 6-10

This week has plenty of beer gardens, beer releases and tap takeovers to beat the heat.

Wednesday, July 6

Third Space Brewing is taking over a few of the taps at The Tap Yard Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.). Expect to find Happy Place, of course, and a barrel-aged beer to be determined. The Plant & Sip Succulent Bar will also be happening from 6 to 8 p.m. For $60 you can build a tiny garden and enjoy a free beer in the process.

Sprecher’s Traveling Beer Garden comes to McCarty Park (8214 W. Cleveland Ave.) for a couple of weeks. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

Thursday, July 7

In case you’ve missed the first few shows, Third Space Presents hosts live music every Thursday at Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) starting at 6 p.m. This week the headliner is ANDII.

Friday, July 8

Gathering Place Brewing’s pop-up beer garden is up and running at Flour & Feed Marketplace (2160 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) this weekend. Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, 2 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) is releasing two beers this week. The 630 Experiment is a hazy IPA made with experimental hops. Euphonium is a saison that was fermented and dry-hopped in wine barrels. Presale starts at 9 a.m. and you can pick up your order this weekend.

Retzer Nature Center (S14 W28167 Madison St., Waukesha) is the site of Raised Grain Brewing’s pop-up beer garden this weekend. Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 3 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

1840 Brewing Company’s Beer Garden Road Show comes to Riverside Park (350 S. Indiana Dr., West Bend) from 4 to 9 p.m.

Try samples from Ommegang Brewery from 3 to 6 p.m. at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.).

Gathering Place Brewing is handing out samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, July 9

The Tap Yard Milwaukee (1555 Rivercenter Dr.) is hosting IPA Fest and turning over a few of the taps to the likes of Maplewood Brewery, 3 Floyds, 3 Sheeps and more. New Glarus Scream IIPA will be on tap, and that’s reason enough to go. The IPA Fest coincides nicely with Family Fun Day, also happening on Saturday, which includes a bounce house, face painting and other fun.

Urban Harvest Brewing Company (1024 S. 5th St.) is having a block party from 1 to 8 p.m. The street will be blocked off for fun, games and beer.

The Beer Garden Road Show makes an appearance in downtown Whitefish Bay during the  Whitefish Bay Art Fest. 1840 Brewing will be pouring beers from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Sample beer from Ommegang at Discount Liquor Waukesha from noon to 3 p.m.

Sahale Ale Works is making the trip to Discount Liquor Milwaukee to hand out a few samples from noon to 3 p.m.

Sunday, July 10

The Tap Yard Waukesha is busy on Sunday. BBQ Fest means that seven barbecue food trucks will be there from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s also the weekly farmers market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Yoga In Your Third Space is happening at Third Space Brewing. The 75-minute yoga session starts at 10:30 a.m. It costs $23 and includes a post-workout beverage.
