1. Summerfest

THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY | HENRY MAIER FESTIVAL PARK

It’s that time of year again! Milwaukee’s biggest lakefront party returns for the first of three weekends on Thursday. Check out the full lineup of artists performing here.  

2. Juneteenth

FRIDAY FROM 9 A.M.-4 P.M. | DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JUNIOR DRIVE, ROSE PARK

This year marks the 55th annual Juneteenth celebration in Milwaukee, honoring the day federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to enforce the end of slavery. Milwaukee’s celebration kicks off at 9 a.m. with the Jubilee Parade down Dr. MLK Jr. Drive, followed by a block party with a marketplace, music, dancing and more. 

3. Fat Tire Tour of Milwaukee

SATURDAY FROM 8:30 A.M.-6 P.M. | BEST PLACE 

Drawing nearly 400 attendees each year, this casual ride covers 15 to 25 miles over a six or seven hour span. The route changes every year and is a surprise on the morning of the ride. The ride is always based on a movie – this year’s theme is “Milwaukiana Jones.” Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the ride.

4. Meet the Artists Pride Month Art Pop-Up

THURSDAY AT 5 P.M. | DAVID BARNETT GALLERY

Get to know the artists selected to have their work shown in David Barnett Gallery’s Pride Month Art Pop-Up show. The theme this year is “how do you bloom into your identity and uniquely express the different angles of the LGBTQ+ experience.” The artists will each give a short talk about their work and drinks will be provided. 

5. Yoga in Historic Places

THURSDAY AT 5:30 P.M. | CHARLES ALLIS ART MUSEUM

Historic Milwaukee is inviting the community to a gentle yoga session in one of Milwaukee’s most iconic historic buildings, the Charles Allis Art Museum. Before the class one of their historians will give a talk about the history of the Allis family and the building’s architectural significance. It’s $20 to attend the class and a ticket can be purchased online. 

6. Summer Solstice Music Festival

FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY | DREXEL TOWN SQUARE

In celebration of the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice Music Festival is back for its second year. Drexel Town Square will become center stage for three days and the concerts are free to attend. A full list of the bands is available online, and food trucks will provide drinks and food all night. 

7. Wax Trax! – Video Dance Party

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | X-RAY ARCADE 

Join DJ Synthia, DJ Paul H and Dance Commandr for an audio-visual tribute to the label that weaponized the underground. The night will be filled with high energy, heavy beats and chaotic videos from some of the biggest goth and industrial bands. This event is 18+ and a cover fee of $5 cash will be collected at the door. 

8. Celebrate Climate Action

SATURDAY FROM 9 A.M.-12 P.M. | WASHINGTON PARK URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER

The Our Future Milwaukee Coalition is hosting a free climate action celebration to highlight the third anniversary of Milwaukee’s Climate and Equity Plan. The event will kick off with breakfast before an update on the plan’s progress and a Q&A session. Later in the day, demonstrations and interactive displays will offer information and resources to community members. 

9. Summer Ope!-Stice Maker’s Market

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-4 P.M. | OPE! BREWING CO. 

Enjoy the full selection of beers, sours and seltzers while shopping from talented local makers and artisans at this craft brewery’s market. It’s free to attend and open to all ages. 

10. 2026 Lincoln Creek Week Kickoff

SATURDAY FROM 12 P.M.-3 P.M. | McGOVERN PARK

Gather at McGovern Park on Saturday to kick off Lincoln Creek Week! The event will have free food, activities and more. The day will also include a community fishing clinic, bird walk, bike, hike and more to celebrate the beauty of Havenwoods. Check out the rest of the week’s schedule of events online

11. 18th Annual Great Midwest Book Fest

SATURDAY FROM 1-4 P.M. | THE XCHANGE 

If you’re nostalgic for the scholastic book fair, here’s your chance to experience the thrill again! The event highlights African American authors and begins with featured authors giving a short Q&A before opening the floor to books galore. The authors represent all genres including children’s books, romance, mystery and more. Each attendee who purchases a book from participating authors will receive a swag bag with one free book. It’s $20 to attend the festival and tickets can be purchased online

12. Home 2026: World Refugee Day Community Celebration

SATURDAY 11 A.M.-4 P.M. | LYNDEN SCULPTURE GARDEN

Bring a picnic blanket and some cash to enjoy a “taste the world” meal made by chefs from local refugee communities. You can also purchase art, listen to stories, poems and music and more. The full schedule is available online, and the event is free to attend.

13. Father’s Day at the Zoo

SUNDAY 9:30 A.M.-5 P.M. | MILWAUKEE COUNTY ZOO

Celebrate the father in your life with a visit to the Zoo. All dads get in free – Plus, the Zoo is celebrating its animal fathers, including Stan the Bactrian camel, Hugo the De Brazza’s monkey and more.

14. Fathers Day Daddy and Me Paint and Sip

SUNDAY FROM 11:30 A.M.-1:30 P.M. | VIBEZ CREATIVE ART SPACE

Join Vibez Creative for an extra special Father’s Day. Dads and their littles are invited to come paint the pre-sketched canvas, enjoy some drinks and spend quality time together. Tickets are $50 and include all of the supplies you need. 

15. Sunday Sessions: Nick Maas & Moonglow

SUNDAY FROM 3 P.M.-5:30 P.M. | THIRD WARD BEER GARDEN

The Third Ward Beer Garden and Radio Milwaukee are teaming up to start a new Sunday tradition with his concert series. The afternoon will be filled with live music, curated sets by Radio Milwaukee DJs and cold drinks. This first Sunday will feature Nick Maas and Moonglow. The series is free to attend and open to all ages.
