15 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Dec. 10-14

Beer-related holiday parties get into full swing this week. That means it’s time to dig out your best (or worst) Christmas sweater.

Wednesday, Dec. 10

The first of two Freestyle Holiday Beer Dinners is happening at Tess (2499 N. Bartlett Ave.). The dinners pair five courses with seasonal beers. The second dinner is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 11. Call 414-964-8377 or email tessmilwaukee@gmail.com to make a reservation.

Craft a mosaic Christmas tree at Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 and include materials, instruction, and a beverage.

Thursday, Dec. 11

New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. First St.) is having its holiday party from 5 to 10 p.m. It’s a potluck, so bring a dish to share.

Friday, Dec. 12

Eagle Park Brewing (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy., Muskego) is throwing a party for its members from 4 to 8 p.m. Those in this exclusive club get to enjoy two new beer releases, complimentary appetizers, and the tapping of 12 extremely limited cellared kegs.

Try samples from Drewry’s Brewery (2 to 5 p.m.) and Revolution Brewing (4 to 6 p.m.) at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.). Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) is pouring samples from hometown brewery Raised Grain from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 13

A Holiday Extravaganza is coming to Three Cellars (N72 W13400 Lund Ln., Menomonee Falls) from noon to 11 p.m. They’ll be tapping some rarities at the holiday party to pair with giveaways, a costume/sweater contest, food and music.

Raised Grain Brewing (1723 Dolphin Dr., Waukesha) is pouring three new funky beers from their Mixed Culture collection from noon to 2 p.m.

Eagle Park is pulling a few gems out of the cellar for timed tappings at both the Muskego location and the Milwaukee taproom (823 E. Hamilton St.).

More feats of strength are taking place at Black Husky Brewing (909 W. Locust St.). A grip strength competition that benefits SEA Literacy starts at 1 p.m.

Lion’s Tail Brewing (8520 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa) hosts Yoga on Tap from 11 a.m. to noon. A beverage is included with the $20 cost.

Discount Liquor Milwaukee is pouring Belgian beer samples from Duvel and Brasserie d’Achouffe, as well as some local beers by Lakefront Brewery from noon to 3 p.m. Try samples from Point Brewery (noon to 2 p.m.) and Lakefront (1 to 3 p.m.) at Discount Liquor Waukesha.

Sunday, Dec. 14

The 53212Marketplace Holiday Edition is spread across two breweries (and a more traditional home decor shop) on a block in Riverwest. The hosts are Amorphic Beer (3700 N. Fratney St.), home decor store Home Again (3728 N. Fratney St.) and Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.). The market features more than 30 vendors and runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Stretch & Sip Yoga is happening at Raised Grain from 11 a.m. to noon. The cost is $20 and includes a beer.

Thursday, Dec. 18: Station No. 06 (6800 W. Becher St., West Allis) has some pretty great barrel-aged winter warmer beers slated for Yule Be Feeling Alright, their annual Christmas party.

Saturday, Dec. 20: Component Brewing (2018 S. First St.) hosts one of the more unique (and hard on the ears) Christmas parties. The Creedsmas Party includes food, live music and, when Scott Stapp bellows a Creed song on the Component speakers, drink specials.
