1.  Summerfest

THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FROM NOON TO 11:30 P.M. | HENRY MEIER FESTIVAL PARK

The gates open at noon Thursday for the second weekend of concerts, eats and people watching at Summerfest. This weekend’s headliners at American Family Insurance Amphitheater are Ed Sheeran on Thursday, Cody Johnson on Friday and Post Malone on Saturday. 

2. Open Reception: Strike at Allis Chalmers and Other Wisconsin Stories

THURSDAY FROM 5 P.M. TO 8 P.M. | CHARLES ALLIS ART MUSEUM 

Explore the history of the Wisconsin working class and the historic Allis-Chalmers workers strike through John Fleissner’s new solo exhibition. The exhibition walks through Wisconsin’s history of urban industrial workers fighting for a better life. The reception is free to attend and open to all ages. 

3. Children’s Concert – The Carnival of the Animals

SUNDAY FROM 11 A.M. TO 12 P.M. | VILLA TERRACE DECORATIVE ARTS MUSEUM 

Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Jinwoo Lee, MSO cellist Peter Thomas and pianist Eunice Kim will perform The Carnival of the Animals, a playful musical suite beloved by many. The performance will be narrated by Simon Provan who will guide the audience through each movement and its animal inspiration. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children.

4. 3-Day Rummage Sale Benefiting Second Hand Purrs

THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FROM 9 A.M. TO 6 P.M. | OAK CREEK AMERICAN LEGION HALL 

Second Hand Purrs cat rescue is hosting their biggest fundraiser of the year this weekend. Check out a huge selection of electronics, small furniture, collectibles and more. The rummage sale will be inside the Oak Creek American Legion Hall, so the space is air conditioned and the sale will be on rain or shine. 

5. Kids Night

FRIDAY FROM 5 P.M. TO 8 P.M. | DREXEL TOWN SQUARE 

Head to Drexel Town Square for a night of family-friendly fun! Local groups are hosting creative activities, food trucks are serving food and a splash pad will be open in the square. Kids Night is free to attend. 

6. Art Emporium Grand Opening

FRIDAY FROM 6 P.M. TO 9 P.M. | THE ART EMPORIUM 

A brand new creative space is opening in Milwaukee. The Art Emporium is hosting their grand opening featuring artwork by Lori Miller, refreshments, music and conversation. This event is free to attend.

7. Pole in Motion

FRIDAY FROM 6:30 P.M. TO 8:30 P.M. | THIRST BOOKS 

Thirst Books is hosting a queer pole arts showcase featuring dancers from Inverted Intuitions. The performance will focus around themes of strength, creativity, body positivity and self-expression. Tickets to the show are $35 each and include one book, snacks and champagne. Tickets can be purchased online.

8. Bummerfest!

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FROM 9 P.M. TO 12 A.M. | MAD PLANET 

Mad Planet is throwing a two night dance party and cure for festival fatigue featuring Goth Barge, Dead Stars and Post Modern Sleaze. The shows are 21+ and a $7 cover fee will be collected at the door. 

9. Milwaukee Bonsai Society 55th Annual Exhibit

SATURDAY, 10 A.M TO 4 P.M AND SUNDAY, 10 A.M. TO 3 P.M. | LYNDEN SCULPTURE GARDEN 

More than 40 Bonsai Trees groomed by the Milwaukee Bonsai Society will be on display at the Lynden Sculpture Garden this weekend. Visiting experts will judge the trees while guests participate in raffles, and visit vendors selling Bonsai supplies. The exhibit is free to attend and open to all ages. 

10. Printmaking Workshop

SATURDAY FROM 12 P.M. TO 4 P.M. | CHARLES ALLIS ART MUSEUM 

Join artist in residence John Fleissner and learn to carve linoleum relief for printmaking. Participants will assemble a snake book containing their original print as well as the prints of others in the class. Tickets are $40 each (or $30 if you’re experiencing financial hardship) and come with all supplies needed. 

11. Audiobook Walk

SUNDAY FROM 10 A.M. TO 11 A.M. | SOUTH SHORE PARK 

Thirst Books is hosting an audiobook walk through South Shore Park. Participants are invited to chat about books, enjoy the fresh air and get to know fellow readers in the area while moving their body. The walk is free to attend and open to all ages. 

12. Movement in the Gardens 

SUNDAY FROM 10 A.M. TO 11:30 A.M. | SANGER HOUSE GARDENS 

Enjoy the beauty of the Sanger House Gardens while participating in a gentle yoga flow. The practice, led by Analisia and hosted by women’s wellness community Wavy Baby Co., is centered around body appreciation, self-trust and reconnection to the self through mindful movement. All levels are welcome and the class is $43. 

13. Falcon Flea

SUNDAY FROM 11 A.M. TO 5 P.M. | FALCON HALL

The Falcon Flea market is selling a selection of vintage, handmade, art and small business goods at Falcon Hall this Sunday. The market will feature 40+ vendors and a DJ throughout the afternoon. There is no cover charge and this event is suitable for all ages. 

14. Pride on Brady

SUNDAY AT 12 P.M. | BRADY STREET 

Pride on Brady is back and bigger than ever this year! The street will be filled with music, performers, community organizations and more. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun. This event is free to attend and open to all ages. 

15. Milwaukee Pride Metal Fest 

SUNDAY FROM 1:30 P.M. TO 11 P.M. | X-RAY ARCADE 

Thrash around with Pride at Milwaukee Pride Metal Fest. Metal bands like I, The Breather, See you Next Tuesday, These Fading Visions and more are celebrating peace, love and positivity in the metal scene. This event is open to all ages and tickets are $24 and $25 cash at the door.
