1. Fish Sticks Comedy Live Taping

ALL WEEKEND | THE INTERCHANGE THEATER

Fish Sticks Comedy will bring together members from all six of its locations around the Milwaukee area for a weekend of live tapings and lots of laughter. There will be four shows filmed this weekend at various times. Call 414-326-9300 for tickets and more show information. 

2. Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding

ALL WEEKEND | THE FITZGERALD

In this show, the audience is part of the “wedding theatre” performance. Tony and Tina are getting married, and you’re there to witness the family drama and hilarity that ensues. Each ticket includes a full Italian dinner, wedding cake and a champagne toast.

3. Genesis Ballet 

ALL WEEKEND | THE PABST THEATER

Milwaukee Ballet’s Genesis ballet competition is back this weekend. Michael Pink hand selected three choreographers to develop a piece in three weeks. Each night, the dances will be voted on and the overall winner will receive the opportunity to create another work for the Milwaukee Ballet. 4. Beethoven Piano and Pictures at an Exhibition

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | BRADLEY SYMPHONY CENTER

Iván López-Reynoso is conducting his U.S. debut this weekend. He is conducting Ravel’s orchestral arrangement of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and Beethoven’s first piano concerto. Tickets are available online

5. Mommy and Me Fairytale Tea Party

SATURDAY FROM 9-11:30 A.M. | THE EMBER LODGE

If you’re looking for something to do with the kids this weekend, the Ember Lodge is hosting its popular Fairytale Tea Party. Princesses will be in attendance, and there will be crafts and face painting as well. 

6. Milwaukee Comic Con

SATURDAY AT 10 A.M. | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK 

Wisconsin’s biggest comic book and pop culture convention is taking place on Saturday. Geek out with the over 200 vendors, artists, creators and special guests tabling at the event. Get tickets online

7. Celebration of Black Innovators in Science

SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M. TO 3 P.M. | DISCOVERY WORLD

To celebrate Black History Month, Discovery World is hosting an exhibit celebrating Black innovators who have made important contributions in STEM fields. There will also be a pop up market hosted by the Milwaukee Makers Market, featuring local Black-owned businesses. 

8. Galentine’s Day Workshop

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M. TO 3 P.M. | TAMARIND STUDIO

Tamarind Studio is hosting a Galentine’s Day workshop. The day-long workshop includes a belly dance choreography class, lunch, games and snacks, and a Yin Haven Rose Venus beauty ritual workshop. Get tickets on Eventbrite

9. Flannelpalooza

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M. TO 5 P.M. | ROOT COMMON PARK

Flannelpalooza is full afternoon of activities, including axe-throwing, ice sculpture demonstration, a best beard competition and a best-dressed dog contest. 10. LGBTQ+ Celebrate Black History Month

SATURDAY FROM 1-5 P.M. | Diverse & Resilient

This collaborative event between the MKE LGBT Center and Diverse & Resilient celebrates both Black History Month and LGBTQ+ pride. The two groups are teaming up for this evening program, which honors Black LGBTQ+ people throughout history. There’ll be shared stories, discussion and more. 

11. Murder Mystery Dinner: Love the 80s to Death

SATURDAY AT 5:30 P.M. | BUCKETS PUB 2ND ROUND

Buckets Pub 2nd Round is hosting an ’80s-themed murder mystery dinner. Guests get dinner with the show and are encouraged to dress in their best ’80s attire. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.

12. Heartbreakers Poetry on Tap

SATURDAY AT 6:30 P.M. | THE SUGAR MAPLE 

The Sugar Maple is holding an anti-valentines day celebration. Writers will share their heartbreak poetry, and beer and chocolate will be served. 

13. Brick Fest Live

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, TIMES VARY | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK EXPO CENTER

Tons of LEGOs will be at the Wisconsin State Fair Expo Center this weekend. There’ll be rare LEGO merchandise, life-size models, hands-on attractions and more. Tickets are available online

14. Plumestruck at the Chapel 

SUNDAY FROM 12 P.M. TO 5 P.M. | 2114 NINTH AVE., SOUTH MILWAUKEE

Local vintage store Plume is hosting a Valentine’s pop-up with a mix of vintage sellers, jewelry vendors, bakers and themed cocktails. Both singles and couples are welcome, and admission is free.
